What is the importance of getting pre-approved for a mortgage? How do you go about getting pre-approved?
Escrow and Closing Costs
When you sign a purchase agreement, this officially begins the escrow process – the time during which the closing attorney, broker and lender prepare the necessary documents and activities to transfer title to your name as the new owner. Escrow can also refer to the trust, or impound, accounts that are used to collect monthly portions of your property taxes and hazard insurance premium (paid with your mortgage) to simplify the payment of these invoices when they are due. Closing costs are any expenses related to the purchase or sale of real estate. For buyers, closing costs include attorney fees for preparing your documents and conducting title searches, lender fees, pre-paid taxes and insurance (escrow), pro-rata property taxes and HOA dues, etc. Want to learn more about closing costs or the escrow process, call 919-882-6700 and let one of our experienced agents answer your questions; there’s no obligation!
